Jim Stowers

Jim Stowers is owner, founder and visionary of Oxford Development who along with Ryan Companies is co-developing The Glade in Kansas City, Missouri. Jim served for 27 years with American Century Investment Management, Inc., lastly as its Chairman in 2008. Jim is a board member of the supporting organization to the Stowers Institute for Medical Research. He serves as a member of the Advisory Council for the Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Jim also serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute and is a member of the KU Advancement Board. He served for 15 years on the Board of the Kansas City Zoo and remains an Advisory Board member. He recently joined the Board of the Higgins Brothers Surgicenter for Hope in Haiti.

Jim has a strong passion to elevate the understanding of conditions and potential treatments through individualized or precision medicine, based on his belief that it’s critically important to fully understand the genomic blueprint of each person in order to treat them in the most effective manner.
